Vietnam’s tourism industry in general, and Vinh Phuc’s tourism industry in particular, are facing significant opportunities as the demand for tourism worldwide and in the region continues to increase. The key tourism markets of Vietnam and Vinh Phuc in particular are seeing an increase in the number of tourists. Tourist arrivals from France – a leading international tourism market for Vinh Phuc – are currently increasing at a rate of about 12.3% per year; similarly, arrivals from China are increasing at a rate of 9.7% per year, and arrivals from Japan are increasing at a rate of 10.2% per year. For the domestic tourism market, demand is also increasing rapidly, along with an increase in demand for weekend getaways, mountain and lake resorts, spiritual tourism, and longer vacation periods for workers due to improvements in living standards, particularly in major cities such as Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, and other large urban areas. In fact, not only during the tourism season but also on weekends and holidays, there is a large influx of domestic tourists from Hanoi to nearby provinces, including Vinh Phuc. If Vinh Phuc can organize and develop appropriate tourist products along with the development of resorts, luxury hotels, transportation systems, especially roads and waterways to Vinh Phuc, it will be a great opportunity for Vinh Phuc to become an ideal tourist destination for tourists from Hanoi.
