High-tech Agriculture

The agriculture and rural development of Vinh Phuc province is in accordance with the national agricultural development strategy and the local context. The development is based on efficient utilization of natural resources, socio-economic factors, and the strength of the community to build new rural areas, create employment opportunities, ensure social welfare, food safety and hygiene, gradually improve the living standards of the people, and actively respond to climate change.

The province is developing agriculture, forestry, and fisheries in the direction of applying high technology, ecological agriculture, organic agriculture, and forming large-scale commodity areas. Priority is given to supporting key industries that have favorable conditions in terms of land, clean water sources, and market advantages (including high-quality rice, safe vegetables, fruits, medicinal plants, pig farming, dairy farming, beef farming, chicken farming, concentrated aquaculture, and large-scale timber plantation). Modern production systems are organized in a linked chain to meet the demand for clean and safe products for the local population and supply to neighboring provinces, with an orientation towards export.

The province is also developing climate-adaptive agricultural production that is

environmentally friendly, ecological, and sustainable.
