Investment promotion activities of Vinh Phuc province in Busan and Seoul South Korea.

Busan is located in the Southeast, is the largest port city of South Korea, is the second largest city (after Seoul capital), Korea. Busan has an area of 765.64 km2 and a population of about 4 million people, GDP per capita in 2010 was over 22 thousand dollars, ranking 13^th in Korea. The strength of Busan was transportation and ports; in addition to Busan is busy Commercial Centre, major Financial Centre. In Busan, there are 22 universities and research institutes. Externally, Busan has relationship with the 21 provinces and cities of the countries in the world, including Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam’s Thai Nguyen province.

On March 23, 2015 Vinh Phuc delegation has moved to the Seoul capital, visited and worked with the Vietnam Embassy in South Korea, working with the delegation included Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in South Korea: Mr. Pham Huu Chi and his officials and staffs.  At the meeting, Mr. Phung Quang Hung kindly thank the Vietnam Embassy in South Korea for enthusiastic support in investment promotion activities for Vinh Phuc province in the last time; Mr. Chairman had brief introduction on the results obtained in the socio-economic development and investment attraction of the province in 2014 and the first quarter of 2015, and suggest the Embassy continues to support Vinh Phuc province to set up mechanisms for labour resources export to South Korea, Korean language training and the introduction of the province’s investment environment for Korean investors who want to invest abroad.

Ambassador Pham Huu Chi expressed sympathy and support for provincial investment promotion program, the province has expanded investment promotion area, in addition to locations where investment promotion organizations such as: Busan, Chungcheonbuk, Seoul and then removing to Gimpo–Gyeonggi city, this is a potential market with a lot of business consistent with the direction of the provincial investment attraction. Ambassador has introduced summary information on the activities of Vietnam and South Korea since establishing diplomatic relations on December 22, 1992. With the great efforts and contribution to the people and governments of the two countries, Vietnamese – Korean relations have developed rapidly in all sectors of political-diplomatic, economic, trade and investment, culture and socio-people exchange. The two sides gradually upgrade relations to “comprehensive cooperative partnership” (2001) and “strategic cooperative partnership” (2009). During his visiting to Vietnam in September, 2013 of President Park Geun-hye, the two leaders agreed to continue to lifting bilateral relations into a new level in all sectors. Ambassador Pham Huu Chi confirmed that He would continue to support Vinh Phuc province to attract investment and expected to Vinh Phuc province and Embassy regularly exchange and contact to update investment information, in order to improve effective investment promotion activities of the province in South Korea.

At the same day of March 23, 2015, the provincial delegation had contacted and worked with a number of enterprises presented by business invested in the province(Bangjoo and Jawa Company); through contacting, delegation has learned about the needs of foreign investment enterprises and providing the basic information of Vinh Phuc province for this enterprises./.
