Strengthening investment promotion in major and key markets in Malaysia

Continuing the investment promotion program in Malaysia, on the morning of October 28, 2022, the Vinh Phuc Provincial Delegation led by Mr. Le Duy Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, visited Dell APCC2 factory of Dell Group in Malaysia. This is the 5th destination in the delegation’s investment promotion program.

Welcoming the delegation were Mr. CT Goh – Executive Director and Production Manager of Dell APCC2 factory in Malaysia; Mr. Arom Eli – Senior Principal Engineer Inspector of the factory; Mr. Janice Oh – Director of Dell CSG Professional Services.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Le Duy Thanh said that Vinh Phuc always pays attention to attracting investment and developing industry. The province’s business environment is highly appreciated for its transparency, health and fairness. In addition, the province always accompanies businesses, promptly removes difficulties and obstacles, creates the most favorable conditions for businesses to explore investment opportunities, develop production and business and expand the scale of investment in the province. The areas that the province is prioritizing to attract investment are high-tech industry, production of electronic components, automobiles, motorbikes, healthcare, education, etc.

The province plans to have 28 industrial parks with an area of about 7,000 hectares by 2030 located along national highways, convenient for transportation connecting with international airports and inland deep-water ports. Vinh Phuc is striving to become a developed industrial province by 2025, one of the industrial, service and tourism centers of the region and the whole country.

In addition, to continue to promote the attraction of investment capital flows, in addition to applying investment incentives for investors in accordance with the law, the province continues to effectively implement its own investment support mechanisms and policies. At the same time, it builds a set of policies to diversify investment fields, helping businesses increase their access to investment support, select qualified investors to invest in industrial park infrastructure; reduce land rental prices and extend land tax payment deadlines.

At the meeting, the delegation was introduced by Mr. CT Goh – CEO and Production Director of Dell APCC2 factory in Malaysia about the history of the company’s establishment and development, its mission and future direction of the Group. Mr. CT Goh highly appreciated the initiative of Vinh Phuc province in promoting and attracting the Group’s suppliers in the production chain of electronic components and computers. He affirmed that the Group also wishes to explore opportunities for cooperation and investment in development in Vinh Phuc in the coming time. The working sessions of Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Le Duy Thanh and the Vinh Phuc Investment Promotion Delegation with large Malaysian enterprises and corporations are an opportunity for Malaysian investors and enterprises to better understand the investment environment of Vinh Phuc province, thereby promoting research activities and moving towards future investment activities. /.
