The friendship cooperation signing ceremony between Vinh Phuc province and Akita of Japan.

From March 2012 to date, Vinh Phuc and Akita province had several of exchanges, introduction to cultural, human and socio economic development condition of two provinces; particularly in supporting the organization of promotional investment and trade activities between the two provinces.

Akita is a province in Northeast Japan, the island of Honshu – Japan’s largest island, with an area of ​​11.636 km² (ranking of 6^th in Japan), a population of 1.050.132 people. Akita is a province in terms of industrial development, services and agriculture.

In term of industry, Akita Prefecture has strengths in the field of electronics, information technology, seeking new energy, energy- saving in automobiles, and shipbuilding production …; the key industrial sectors related to health, manipulating … are encouraged for long term development.

In agriculture, Akita Prefecture is particularly strengthening in the food processing; beverage processing, animal feed … Akita province is famous for its agricultural products such as rice and wine sake production of high quality. This is location where is largest produced and consumed sake in Japan.

With the consent of the Government, ministries and agencies of the two countries Vietnam and Japan, after several exchanges and communications, the two provinces have found the overall direction and partnership opportunities to develop together. Akita and Vinh Phuc province has agreed to establish partnership relations and prepare positively and urgently the important content, necessary for the friendship signing ceremony between the two parties in early 2015.

Attending the MOU signing ceremony, Vinh Phuc province  includes Mr. Phung Quang Hung, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Vinh Phuc People’s Committee; Mr.Nguyen Van Tri, Member of Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee, Vice – Chairman of Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Phung Tan Sy, Member of Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee, Commander of the provincial military and the departments and agencies leaders, about Akita Prefecture includes Mr. Norihisa Satake, Mayor and several agencies and provincial leaders and Japanese’s embassy representatives and News agencies and Central and local newspaper in Akita.

To date, Akita is the third province that have signed MOU on friendship cooperation, previously Luong Nam Tha province of Democratic Republic People’s of Laos and Chungcheoungbuk province in Korea.

After officially signed MOU on cooperation, Chairman of Vinh Phuc People’s Committee Phung Quang Hung and Akita Prefecture Mr. Norihisa Satake hosted a press conference to inform the official contents of the MOU of strengthening friendly and comprehensive cooperative relations between the two parties. Based on the principle of equality and mutual respect, to comply with the provisions of domestic law, the two sides agreed to try their best to work together in the field, such as: Creating favourable conditions for two provincial enterprises in expanding trade relations and investment, seeking human resources, training for agricultural engineers, technical improvements in the production and processing of agricultural products, organizations exhibitions and trade relation between the parties …

In the evening of the same day, the Akita Prefecture held solemn banquets for delegation of Vinh Phuc province.

The signing ceremony and a press conference was great success, it was an important basis for long term sustainable cooperation between Vinh Phuc and Akita province.
