Promoting Korean projects being prepared to invest in Vinh Phuc province

Shin Heung Industry Company with its head office in Cheong Ju, Chungcheoungbuk, Korea was established in 1974. The land use area is 30.000 m² including the plant area of 14.000 m². The number of staff is 140 people. The revenue in 2012 is USD35.1 million and the output is 6,143 products with five main types such as agricultural batch dryer, grain dryer, etc. The consumption ratio of the domestic and international market is 6:4. The company’s machinery, equipments types with high quality are accepted by both American and Japanese markets. The company is one of two manufacturers of post-harvest storage machinery that Chungcheoungbuk’s leaders presented Vinh Phuc’s delegation in this business trip.  In the working session with the company’s leaders, the Head of Vinh Phuc’s delegation congratulated the company on its achievements in the past and proposed the company to consider the investment project of manufacturing post-harvest storage machinery in Vinh Phuc, Vietnam.

Jahwa Electronics Company, being established in 1981, has its head office in Cheong Won-gun, Chungcheoung buk province, Korea. The company specializes in producing semiconductor, electronic equipments and components, and laser printer. Since the establishment, the company has been strongly growing. In 2013, the company uses nearly 12,000 laborers in 4 Korean plants, 3 Chinese ones, 1 Malaysian one and 1 Vietnamese one. Since 2007, Jahwa Vina Co., Ltd. has invested in the production project of module, telephone camera for Samsung Electronics Company in Khai Quang industrial zone, in Vinh Yen city, Vinh Phuc, Vietnam. The project has a land use area of 6.85 hectares, total invested capital of USD40 million and the productivity of 300 tons of electronic components and 500 information-technology components per annum. The company produced 79.5 millions of electronic components with the export revenue of USD43.86 million in 2012; provides jobs for 3,800 laborers inside and outside the province in 2013.  Welcoming the investment promotion delegation of Vinh Phuc province with the company’s fifth plant, Chairman of Jahwa Electronics Company, the parent company in South Korea, expressed his touching to Vinh Phuc’s special care for enterprises. The Head of Vinh Phuc’s delegation expressed thanks for the company’s effective investment and positive contribution in Vinh Phuc’s socio-economic development; also was open to their feedback on low export tax refund in Vietnam and promised to pass this feedback on to authorities to resolve and remove difficulties for enterprises.

Taekyung International University, being established in October, 1992, has the head office in Gyeongbuk, South Korea. In October, 2012 and January, 2013, two university’s delegations led by Principal and Vice-Principal were sent to Vinh Phuc province to conduct actual surveys before investing in the project “Vocational training international university” with total invested capital of USD100 million and total students’ quantity of 20,000.

Experiencing over 20-year establishment and development, the university has had a relatively powerful cadre, lecturer staff, spacious and modern infrastructure, attracting not only South Korean students but also those of over 10 countries studying at the university. With respect to majors in the university, there are a total of 35 faculties in 6 groups of majors with the course of 2 years or 3 years, specifically Major with specific characteristics (theatre and cinema, music, model, fashion, etc); Sport Major (Sport science, Taekwondo, golf, etc); Industry Marketing Major (Internet games, Fashion shop management, etc); Social sciences and Humanities Major (Children education, Police administration, stewardess, tour guide, hotel management, etc); Natural Science Major (Hotel cooking, hair designing, making up, animal training, etc); Public health Major (Nurse, Clinical pathology, hospital administration, etc).

Visiting and working with the university, Vinh Phuc’s investment promotion delegation was enthusiastically taken to visit and introduced about teaching and learning establishments, plants in the university by Dr. Kim, Eun-Sub – University Chairman. He informed that a business delegation should be sent to Vinh Phuc province to keep on the preparation for the investment project of International University to provide training a number of sectors, domains that Vietnam in general and Vinh Phuc in particular are in need.
