Investment promotion activities of Vinh Phuc delegation in Hamilton and Wellington of New Zealand on December 3rd-4th, 2014
Continuing investment promotion program in New Zealand, on the morning of December 3rd ,2014, Vinh Phuc’s delegation led by Mrs. Duong Thi Tuyen – Member of Standing Committee of Provincial Party, Deputy Permanent Chairwomen of Vinh Phuc People’s Committee has visited and worked with Hamilton Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Hamilton CCI)..
Working with the delegation, Mr. William During – Executive Director introduced the overview on Hamilton CCI. Hamilton CCI has headquartered in Cnr Nisbet &Anglesea Streets PO Box 1122, Hamilton 3240 Hamilton, the objective operation of Hamilton CCI is similar Auckland CCI. The difference is that Hamilton city has the fourth largest area of New Zealand, has an important strategic position, located on the intersection of the main road and rail in the centre of the Waikato, played a supporting role for the Auckland port city connected to the capital Wellington, therefore, Hamilton CCI add some parts and functions, such as mobilizing investment in logistics services, seeking export markets for agricultural products that Waikato region have strengths, especially in dairy cows products. At the meeting, Mr. Duong Thi Tuyen – Head of Vinh Phuc delegation was briefed about the provincial social economy and desire Hamilton CCI is a bridge to connect the enterprise from Hamilton to study the cooperation opportunities with Vinh Phuc province,Vietnam in investment, trade, and support in the Vinh Phuc in sending some ranchers to New Zealand about 6 months learning directly at the farm crop, livestock management and operation of production by modern technology, environmental treatment in the production and consumption of products, linked to expand the scale of production to improve competitiveness …
On December 4th, 2014, Investment promotion delegation of Vinh Phuc has visited and worked with Vietnam Embassy in New Zealand at Wellington Capital and Wellington City Council.
Visiting Vietnam Embassy located at Level 21, Grand Plimmer Tower, 2-6 Gilmer Terrace, Wellington 6011, Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Mr. Duong Ngoc Minh – Deputy Chief of Ambassador and their staffs was warmly welcomed Vinh Phuc delegation. Embassy and Vinh Phuc mission have exchanged information of mutual interest and agreed to enhance the operational development cooperation between the Vietnam Embassy in New Zealand and Vinh Phuc province. After an overview of the province, Mrs. Duong Thi Tuyen suggested Embassy support in mobilizing the project of New Zealand investment in Vinh Phuc province to support the training of high quality manpower. Ambassador Nguyen Viet Dung expressed willingness to support a bridge to introduce New Zealand investors coming Vinh Phuc to survey for investment opportunities and support for high quality human resource training linking, including the selection of election some agricultural engineers to New Zealand to study the organization and management of agricultural production, the application of advances in science and technology in the business production process of the farms
On the same day of December 4th,2014, Vinh Phuc mission also visited and worked with Wellington city Council headquartered at 101 Wakerfield Street, PO Box 2199, Wellington 6140. Working with delegation included Mr. Andry Foster – Councillor, Chair of Transport and Urban Development Committee and Mr. Tom Yuan – International relation manager, Mrs. Aiko Collins – International Project Coordinator and Enterprise support, Mr. Simon Woolf –Portfolio Leader Community Engagement, Mr. Jim Robertson and Mr. Jams Free – International Relation Assistance. The representatives of city Council have introduced the organizational structure and staff of the Council, the main results of operations of the City Council in recent years. Through the evaluation indicators of the international capitals, Wellington city ranked in the leading top. The city is considering itself “absolute positive Wellington”; Wellington was chosen as one of the fourth best destination cities in 2011 “Best Tourist Places in Lonely Planet by 2011”. The provincial mission and City Council have exchanged information about the model’s Council held under the administrative level, the monitoring of the Council for the Government in Wellington and New Zealand, the orientation and offshore investment policy in Wellington city.
At the meeting, Mrs. Duong Thi Tuyen – Head of delegation has introduced the highlighting on social economic of the province, the provincial concerns to supervising of Council for government, the experience in the managing of urban authorities, the development of human resources to meet the depth demands and hope that Wellington city Council will be a bridge to connect the enterprises from Wellington to learn cooperation opportunities with Vinh Phuc province, Vietnam. Mr. Andry Foster – Councillor has accepted joyfully the invitation to visit Vinh Phuc by Head of Vinh Phuc delegation.
By the end of investment promotion activities in New Zealand on December 5th, 2014, the delegation has moved to Australia as the investment promotion program./.
