Improving the infrastructure of Kim Hoa Industrial Zone and accelerating the clearance of Vinh Phuc Thang Long Industrial Zone
On 17 May 2016, at the Office of the People’s Council and People’s Committee of Vinh Phuc Province, Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Chuc chaired the two meetings on improving the infrastructure of Kim Hoa Industrial Zone (in which Honda Vietnam is located) and the progress of compensation and site clearance of Vinh Phuc Thang Long Industrial Zone. The representatives attending the meeting were of Vinh Phuc authorities, including: Industrial Zone Management Board, Department of Finance, Department of Planning and Investment, Department of Transportation, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Justice, Investment Promotion Agency, Phuc Yen People’s Committee, Binh Xuyen People’s Committee and Vietnam Urban and Industrial Zone Development Investment Corporation (IDICO).
As reported by the Industrial Zone Management Board, there are 04 routes which have been invested and constructed with infrastructures recently inside and outside Kim Hoa Industrial Zone. However, the street lighting system has not completed; tree planting has just done with little of shade and greenery; environmental hygiene has not been guaranteed. These important routes greatly affect the cargo transportation and traffic of Honda Vietnam. Based on the results of the meeting in consistence with Honda Vietnam and relevant authorities, the Industrial Zone Management Board proposed the Vinh Phuc People’s Committee (PPC) to urge the relevant authorities to complete the street lighting system, tree planting and sign installation along these routes in the spirit of maximum supporting and creating favorable conditions for investors.
In term of the clearance progress of Vinh Phuc Thang Long Industrial Zone invested by Sumitomo Corporation (Japan), Binh Xuyen People’s Committee reported that the total area acquired to place the project was about 213ha in Thien Ke Commune and Tam Hop Commune of Binh Xuyen District. Binh Xuyen People’s Committee in coordination with the relevant authorities had already finished property inspection, counting and declaration, compensation and site clearance for over 90% of the total project area. Because of Vinh Phuc Thang Long Industrial Zone, PPC approved the investment intention of two resettlement areas of 14.26 ha in Thien Ke Commune and Tam Hop Commune which have currently constructed. To shorten the clearance time for constructing the project next year, Binh Xuyen People’s Committee proposed detailing plans on shortening the related procedural steps.
After hearing the reports and the discussions of the departments, Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Chuc directed the relevant departments to expeditiously complete the installation of street lighting system and traffic signs as well as increase greenery along such 04 routes around the premise of Honda Vietnam; assigned Phuc Yen People’s Committee the responsibility for managing the environmental hygiene after these roads completed. With regard to the clearance of Vinh Phuc Thang Long Industrial Zone, Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Chuc directed the relevant departments and Binh Xuyen People’s Committee to accelerate the progress of compensation, site clearance and compilation of dossiers, to avoid any mistake and to shorten the implementation time of administrative procedures to the maximum extent while ensuring compliance with the law./.
