Chairman Le Duy Thanh received the Chairman of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam

After welcoming the visit of Mr. Marko Walde, Chairman Le Duy Thanh emphasized the difficulties and impacts of the Covid-19 epidemic to the implementation of the investment cooperation MOU between Vinh Phuc and the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam at the seminar on investment promotion “Vinh Phuc – a potential investment destination for investors of EU, the United States” that was held on November 27, 2019.

The Chairman of of Vinh Phuc hoped that the Chamber would continue to well implement the contents of the MOU; carry out specific activities so that more and more Vinh Phuc people in particular and Vietnamese in general can come to study, train and improve skills in Germany and many German enterprises will invest in Vinh Phuc.

Mr. Le Duy Thanh also affirmed that right after this meeting, Vinh Phuc would build a detailed plan to deploy the contents of the MOU. He also hoped the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry would support the province in preparing the investment promotion conference in early 2021; building programs and plans to connect German businesses with Vinh Phuc and Vinh Phuc businesses to the German market; help the province to train, improve knowledge on integration, management skills, cooperation skills, and negotiation for leading, management staff, , skilled workers; support vocational, foreign languages training, collective economic models building in which Germany has strengths.

It was affirmed that Vinh Phuc was ready to support the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry and German investors with information about the investment environment of Vietnam, the province, culture, tourism… “In the context that Covid-19 is controlled, in 2021, we hope that Mr. Marko Walde would support us to organize an investment promotion delegation so that Vinh Phuc enterprises can come to explore investment opportunities in Germany ”, said Chairman Le Duy Thanh.

On behalf of the Chamber, Mr. Marko Walde said that with wide opportunities when Vietnam joined trade agreements, German investors were tending to look for investment opportunities in new markets outside China. He asked the province to: promptly provide information about Vinh Phuc to German investors; have more concrete and practical activities to strengthen investment cooperation between his nation and Vinh Phuc; have many products exported to Europe and Germany.

Dealing with the complicated situation of Covid-19, Mr. Marko Walde desired that Vinh Phuc province and the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry would have regular meetings, exchange information and effectively implement the MOU’s contents appropriate to the epidemic context. In the immediate future, in the first quarter of 2021, implement investment promotion activities, aiming to have a brand made in Vinh Phuc in the German market.

After, Chairman Le Duy Thanh worked with Saigon Telecom Technology Joint Stock Company to seek investment opportunity on building Tam Duong I and Tam Duong II industrial parks.
