On the Morning of February 25th, 2016, at Head office of Vinh Phuc Industrial Zones Management Board, Mr. Nguyen Cong Loc – Director granted Investment Registration Certificate to the Investor – Solum Co.,Ltd (Korea), certifying establishment of Solum Electronics Viet Nam Project. Attended at the ceremony, including the leaders of Solum Vina Co., Ltd (A legal entity set up to implement Solum Electronics Viet Nam Project), represented by Mr. Jae Gab Ha – CEO of company; Leadership of Vina CPK Co., Ltd – Infrastructure Investor of Ba Thien II Industrial Zone; Leadership of Vinh Phuc Industrial Zones Management Board and head, deputy heads of divisions and units under the Board.

Solum Electronics Viet Nam Project specializes in manufacturing, processing of electronic components serving for production, assembly of televisions, computer screens, mobile phones and electronic shelf label (ESL); Scale production: 10.000.000 products/ month; The total investment capital registered: 20 million USD; The factory is located at Lot B3, Ba Thien II Industrial Zone, Thien Ke Commune, Binh Xuyen district, Vinh Phuc province.

In the first 02 months 2016, Vinh Phuc province has attracted of 06 projects and adjusted capital additional of 02 projects, with total of new and additional investment capital is 90.2 million USD. Accumulated to now, the Vinh Phuc province has attracted 212 FDI projects, with total registered capital reached 3,343.5 million USD, Solum Electronics Vietnam is the 92th project of Korean investing in Vinh Phuc, putting the total investment of South Korea upto 884 million USD. Currently, of the 16 nations and territories owning direct investment in Vinh Phuc, South Korea is not only the leading nation of capital investment, but also the leading nation of FDI project quantity investing in Vinh Phuc.

As registered, Solum Electronics Vietnam project will be operated from August 2016. The project is expected to attract 1,600 employees for stable operation; Turnover will reach 473.59 million USD, contributing approximately 1.65 million USD to state budget in a stable year. This project is consistent with the province’s attracting investment direction, contributes to develop the electronic support production industry in the province. /.
