Vinh Phuc Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) ranks 5th nationwide

2022 marks the 25th anniversary of the province’s re-establishment and is also the year Vinh Phuc has overcome many difficulties and hardships, especially the COVID-19 pandemic. The whole province has strived to overcome all difficulties, achieving important achievements in almost all aspects of work, including attention and support for businesses to maintain stability and development in the context of the pandemic outbreak. Along with that, the province always identifies that businesses have an extremely important position in the local socio-economic development strategy. Specifically, Vinh Phuc committed to reducing the time for pre-inspection of value-added tax refunds at taxpayers’ offices to 40 working days and reducing administrative procedures to fulfill tax payment obligations to the State budget to less than 115 hours/year. At the same time, the province has also built and put into use a modern, interconnected one-stop department at all 3 levels. In particular, the province’s hotline system has been established and operated effectively in 5 languages: Vietnamese, Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean.

In 2021, the COVID-19 epidemic suddenly broke out again, causing great difficulties for businesses. In order to implement the Prime Minister’s direction in both fighting the epidemic and developing the socio-economy, the provincial government immediately established a special support team with the task of advising and quickly connecting information to the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee.

Accordingly, all information, difficulties, and problems from epidemic prevention to the breakdown of connection chains or problems in import-export procedures, entry procedures for foreigners, tax procedures, and administrative procedures will be communicated directly to the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee through this team. Thereby, the provincial leaders will have the fastest and most timely instructions to relevant departments, branches, and units to resolve difficulties and problems for businesses.
