The seminar “Businesses ask – Government answers” creating favorable conditions for economic recovery from Covid-19 epidemic
On the morning of September 16, 2021, People’s Committee of Vinh Phuc province held an online seminar “Businesses ask – Government answers”, to remove difficulties for provincial enterprises affected by the Covid-19 epidemic.
Mr. Vu Chi Giang, Provincial Commissioner, Deputy President of the Provincial People’s Committee chaired the seminar; Attendants at the meeting included leaders of provincial departments, agencies and several representatives of businesses. The seminar took place online, connecting with five industrial zones: Thang Long Vinh Phuc, Binh Xuyen, Ba Thien, Ba Thien II, Khai Quang. The seminar was also livestreamed on the fanpage of the Agency for Research, Investment Promotion and Business Support, attracting a large number of followers from the online community.
The conference recorded more than 20 opinions, focusing on a number of problems including: Vaccination for workers; Creating favorable conditions for foreign experts upon entering/leaving the province; Extending the Covid test period for those who have been fully vaccinated; Removing obstacles in QRcodes and electronic health book; Easing tax inspection and extending time for paying corporate income tax in 2021.
Mr. Vu Chi Giang and leaders of departments, branches listened carefully and gave specific answers to solve difficulties and problems reflected by the enterprises.
Regarding the issue of vaccination, the representative of the Department of Health ensured to organize a large-scale injection for all workers and employees in September, so that production activities and supply chain of goods would not be interrupted.
Because of the increasing number of people returning from Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces, Mr. Vu Chi Giang requested all businesses to continue to strictly comply with regulations on circulation and Covid-19 test.
In terms of scanning QRcodes and updating data on electronic health book, the Deputy President required the Department of Information and Communications to coordinate with the Management Board of Industrial Zones to quickly and directly resolve technical inadequacies. At the same time, businesses must have specific solutions for employees without smartphones or 3G, 4G connections; “Vinh Phuc will be definitely not behind in the digital economy”_ Mr. Vu Chi Giang emphasized.
The Tax Department was suggested to create the best conditions for tax inspection process and consider extending payment period for firms strongly affected by the pandemic.
In the near future, the province government would amend a number of regulations and issue new documents specifically guiding the entry and exit for foreign experts with the maximum time of seven days. .
In the end, Deputy President of the Provincial People’s Committee affirmed that provincial leaders would always listen and accompany businesses; he expected the business community to try harder to overcome the difficulties triggered by the epidemic.
