Vinh Phuc delegation visiting Vietnam Embassy and holding the investment promotion seminar in South Korea

Mr. Nguyen The Truong – Deputy Secretary of Provincial Standing Committee cum Head of the Provincial People’s Congress delegation delivered a speech and answered enterprises’ questions

The seminar drew the attention of nearly 60 Korean enterprises; noticeably, most of participated enterprises have had foreign investment plans and intention in sectors, domains Vinh Phuc province encourages the investment.

At the opening of the seminar, Mr. Tran Trong Toan, Vietnamese Ambassador in South Korea, delivered a speech on the investment opportunities of Korean enterprises in Vietnam. The Head of Vinh Phuc’s delegation delivered a welcomed speech and presented an overview of the province’s socio-economic conditions. Up to the end of June, 2013, South Korea had 43 investment projects in Vinh Phuc with the total registered capital of nearly USD343 million, ranking first in the number of projects and second in the registered capital as well as the implemented capital. Then, representing Korean investors running successful business in Vinh Phuc, Vina Heasung Limited Liability Company delivered a speech to share the successes and experiences of investments in Vinh Phuc province. After hearing the Director of Vinh Phuc Investment Promotion Agency introduce the province’s investment climate and investment attracting policies, the participated enterprises raised a number of questions about the province’s investment climate such as the preferential policies on investment; the land fund being ready to be delivered to investors; the renting price of the infrastructure, plants and land in industrial zones; the industrial and domestic sewage treatment issue; policies for labor force, etc. Several enterprises expressed concerns about Vietnam’s inadequate infrastructure, the phenomena of Vietnamese laborer’s job transfer, the recent salary being continuously adjusted to increase, etc. All questions were satisfactorily answered and explained by the Head of Vinh Phuc delegation and leaders of the province’s departments, getting the enterprises’ agreement.

At the seminar, 05 Korean investors were especially interested in Vinh Phuc’s investment climate to invest in manufacturing car and motorbike accessories; copy machine, printer; hotel and resort business; consulting about computer software programming; industrial, medical and domestic sewage treatment. These enterprises were provided a great deal of detailed information by Vinh Phuc’s delegation. They expressed their wish to come Vietnam soon in order to carry out the practical survey in Vinh Phuc province before making investment decisions.

Earlier, at the afternoon of July 17, 2013, Vinh Phuc’s delegation visited and worked with Vietnamese Embassy in South Korea. Vietnamese Ambassador – Mr. Tran Trong Toan, Deputy Ambassador, Investment Counselor and Commercial Counselor gave an informal greeting and talk with the delegation.
