The Complex of Breeding and Beef Processing Vinabeef Tam Dao

This is the first project in the investment and cooperation plan between leading Vietnamese and Japanese corporations in the field of high-tech agriculture, specifically livestock farming and beef processing. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on March 8, 2023, in Tam Dao, Vinh Phuc.

The Complex of Breeding and Beef Processing Vinabeef Tam Dao is the first project implemented under a memorandum of understanding with a total value of US$500 million, signed between Vinamilk, Vilico, Sojitz Corporation, and Vinh Phuc province at the end of 2021 to develop Japanese technology-based livestock farming and beef processing in Vietnam. This is also the largest cooperative agreement signed by businesses from the two countries in Japan, witnessed by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at the Vietnam-Japan Investment Promotion Conference 2021.

The Complex of Breeding and Beef Processing Vinabeef Tam Dao is deployed on a total area of 75.6 hectares in Tam Dao, Vinh Phuc. The complex consists of two main areas: a beef cattle farm with a capacity of 10,000 heads and a chilled beef processing plant with a capacity of 30,000 heads per year (10,000 tons of products per year). The investment capital partnership between Vinamilk – through its subsidiary Vilico – and Sojitz Corporation is approximately VND3,000 billion in Phase 1, with a total investment of VND1,670 billion for the construction of the livestock farms and plants in Tam Dao. The project is expected to commence operations in 2024, producing chilled beef processed with Japanese technology under the Vinabeef brand.
